This time in Bawagosali, or rather an offshoot of that village in which the people aren’t close enough to the main village’s water source. This will make clean and drinkable what is now watery hole in the ground.

This tank will be smaller than the last one, 5X5 instead of 7X7, but with a similar price tag as before, 5K.  The price is similar because we’re now buying rocks and sand that the villagers of Hilisaloo gathered last time, and because we’re making the cement especially thick (that is, with less sand), so that the walls will be good and strong on a sloping land surface.

We got the budget, the 5K is on the way to Damo, and he’s ready to go.

This time we’re also taking precautions against rain erosion, by putting a big tarp over the digging site, so that we don’t lose a few days of work as we did last time.

Fun stuff. Stay tuned!

We’re good to go on a new water tank!
